All the flavour of our signature Msakhan in a form you can eat with one hand. Sumac roasted chicken and slow-caramelized onions are rolled into fresh bread and baked until golden, then served with sauce for dipping. The most popular way to introduce someone to Palestinian food.
Msakhan is normally a sharing plate you tear into with your hands. The rolls take the same filling — halal chicken heavy with sumac, onions cooked slowly in olive oil, toasted nuts — and wrap it in our fresh bread, which is then baked so the outside crisps while the inside stays juicy.
Because they hold their heat and travel well, Msakhan rolls have become our go-to catering and party item across Winnipeg. They are also the easiest first order for guests who have never tried Palestinian food: familiar in shape, completely new in flavour.
Same sumac chicken and onion filling as the classic Msakhan plate, rolled and baked so you can eat it on the go.
The rolls go into the oven rather than the fryer, so they taste of sumac, olive oil and bread instead of oil.
Order by the tray for offices, Eid, birthdays and game nights — they are the item that disappears first.
Start with rolls, then move to the full Msakhan plate or Fatteh Msakhan. For a mixed platter, combine them with falafel and spinach and cheese bread.
